We had a great start to the year even though we have only had 2 releases this month, it has definitely been a very high quality over quantity. This year feels very exciting, with some great releases coming up and with monthly titles and OGNs……I keep saying it but 2023 will be the year of AWA
The first title we had this month was Trojan #1, a dark tale of mythical creatures suffering under the oppressive and vile hand of humans that abuse them for profit. One girl wants to find out more about this world but is there more to her story than she is letting on? How will she fare with the foul realm of the dark web or is it these evil men that should fear her?....This was an 8 out 10 for me and I can’t wait to read issue 2.
We then got #4 of Year Zero Vol 0, the penultimate issue of the prequel series. The world around our characters is going crazy with no explanation of what is really going on. With tensions rising all around the globe how long before it all goes to hell and how will our cast react when they find out the truth that they are already being to suspect.
What have we got coming up in February?
Well February kicks of with the big one, Black Tape #1 released 1st Feb. This series sounds like it's going to be beyond amazing. When rock god Jack King dies suddenly on stage, his wife Cindy begins to learn more of the world her late husband moved in, a seemingly dark and demonic world, who can she trust to navigate this rock and roll world with the devil around every corner.
Next we have #4 of E-Ratic Recharged, in this last issue of the series we will get to see Oliver come to terms with betrayal, lies and potentially 3 big bads. With only 10 minutes a day to use his powers this is going to take him right up to the wire….this will be out 8th Feb.
The next week we have issue #2 of Trojan, we get to see what Nessa will do next and how far she will go with her plan. Expect more darkness as we delve further into this unsettling world, this comes out 15th Feb.
Then to end the month we get the last issue of Year Zero Vol 0, in issue #5 we will get to see the fate of our main characters, will they survive the last days of humanity or will they become one of the horde?...this will be available 22nd Feb
