Three Made Men, standing at the brink of retirement, find their unbreakable bond put to the ultimate test when they are suddenly assaulted by the ghosts of their past. Confronted by decades of buried secrets – resentments, affairs, double-crosses, and murders – the three friends have no choice but to unearth the deepest, darkest sin from their past and pray they don’t find an empty grave.
Thoughts….I thought this series was gritty and dark, a great true crime style of story with potential supernatural edge. That's part of the story that gripped me, were they really being haunted by their past or was it all the burden of their guilt pushing them over the edge. The story is well written and keeps you gripped right up until the end and there are some great twists and turns as it goes. The characters instantly grab you and you get pulled into their friendly yet cutting banter, there is a lot of history there and a great deal of resentment that the writing does well to convey. The art style is good, clearly defined and the design work that goes in the skeletal parts is great. This series is planned to be adapted and I will definitely be looking forward to see how they do this in live action. I would give this series a solid 8 out 10.
If you like this series I would recommend Devil’s Highway, Fourth Man & Crimson Cage
